The Last Days, 2 Timothy 3:1-9

I came across this list of Characteristics of Non-Christians in the last days and wanted to present as some food for thought. We all see what is happening in front of our eyes and going on all around us throughout the nation AND the world. It doesn’t take a rocket-scientist to see that Bible prophecy is unfolding right before our eyes.

Remember, we are IN the world but no longer OF the world (John 17:14-16), and though we will be living in the midst of people like described in this list, we should continue to pray for them for our heart-tug should be just as our Heavenly Father’s, that “None should perish, but come to everlasting life!” (2 Peter 3:9).

1Twenty-five Characteristics of Non-Christians in the Last Days:

  1. Men shall be lovers of themselves (2 Timothy 3:2).
  2. Men shall be lovers of money, covetous (2 Timothy 3:2).
  3. Men shall be boasters (2 Timothy 3:2).
  4. Men shall be proud (2 Timothy 3:2).
  5. Men shall be blasphemers (2 Timothy 3:2).
  6. Men shall be disobedient to parents (2 Timothy 3:2).
  7. Men shall be unthankful (2 Timothy 3:2).
  8. Men shall be unholy (2 Timothy 3:2).
  9. Men shall be unloving and without natural affection (2 Timothy 3:3).
  10. Men shall be unforgiving (2 Timothy 3:3).
  11. Men shall be false accusers and slanderers (2 Timothy 3:3).
  12. Men shall be incontinent, without self-control (2 Timothy 3:3).
  13. Men shall be brutal and fierce (2 Timothy 3:3).
  14. Men shall be despisers of good and those who do good (2 Timothy 3:3).
  15. Men shall be traitors (2 Timothy 3:4).
  16. Men shall be headstrong, stubborn (2 Timothy 3:4).
  17. Men shall be haughty and high-minded (2 Timothy 3:4).
  18. Men shall be lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:4).
  19. Men shall have a form of godliness, but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5).
  20. Men shall be the sort who creep into households and lead captive gullible and silly women, loaded down with sins and various lusts (2 Timothy 3:6).
  21. They shall always be learning but never able to come to the knowledge of truth (2 Timothy 3:7).
  22. Men shall resist the truth (2 Timothy 3:8).
  23. Men shall have corrupt minds (2 Timothy 3:8).
  24. Men shall be reprobate, disapproved concerning the faith (2 Timothy 3:8).
  25. Men will not progress forward, because their folly will be manifest to all (2 Timothy 3:9).

We are living at a time of history where we are actually witnesses to the Bible and Bible prophecy unfold right in front of us. We can be dismayed, perplexed and doubt, or we can embrace what we are seeing, seeking the direction of the Holy Spirit for our individual lives and purpose and continue to pursue God, our Father with all of our being!

To my fellow Brothers and Sisters, let’s determine to let the light that is within us shine forth the Glory and Brilliance of Christ Jesus that no man will ever be able to say, “I didn’t know.”

Come quickly Lord Jesus, Amen and AMEN!

  2. I’m not sure all those characteristics haven’t always been around (Man IS depraved.) But with the internet they’re in our faces 24/7.
It sure seems like the last days. That should motivate us to share the gospel every opportunity we get
