Pastor’s Note: God does NOT change and neither does the spirit of His Word. It is living and still relevant for each and every one of us today. With that thought in mind, remember the Prophetic words given by God’s Prophets and Teachers. The words STILL ring true! Do not be fooled into believing God’s Words and warnings were or are only for the children of Israel in ancient history.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-21, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.” KNJV (Bold emphasis, added).
P.S. Not ALL prophecies are dire warnings. Some are meant to bring hope to those looking to the Lord. But be aware, rejection of the God of Creation comes with its own consequences.
Remember when reading this; it HAS been fulfilled and it WILL again be fulfilled!
The times of darkness and despair will not go on forever. The who have rejected God Almighty will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when all the nations will bow before the Lord and will be filled with His glory.
The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in the land under deep darkness and despair, a light will once again shine. God will redeem the nation of Israel, and all nations who follow after Him, and all the peoples will rejoice in their salvation. They will rejoice before God as people rejoice at the gathering of a great harvest and like soldiers after a great victory. For God Almighty will break the yoke and burden of their slavery to sin and lift the heavy burdens of guilt and shame from their shoulders. The LORD will break the oppressor’s rod, the enemy of our souls and those who oppress the innocent just as He did when He destroyed the ancient armies that came against His people. The boots of the soldiers and the uniforms bloodstained and blackened by war will all be burned and destroyed. They will be only serving as fuel for the fire.
For a child has been born to us and the world, a son is given to all of us. The governments will rest on his shoulders with justice and righteousness and he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and rule and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David just as always promised once and for all for all eternity. The passionate commitment of God Almighty, our Heavenly Father and the Lord of Heaven’s Hosts will make this happen as He made His promises come true 2000 plus years ago!
