Holding On Fast

*Pastor’s Note: Here’s another poem from one of my favorite Christian poets. On keeping with the theme of the old year passing and looking forward to the new, I offer you this poetry from Sister Deborah Ann Belka from her website, CHRISTian Poetry – By Deborah Ann. If you’ve visited her site, you know she has a lot of loyal supporters and you can see why. If you haven’t visited, please visit her site and be blessed, and remember to pray for her ministry (service) as part of the Body of Christ.

holding on fast - dab

Though your situation,
may seem dire today
hold fast until tomorrow . . .
for God will make a way.

Though your circumstance,
may seem bleak today
hold fast until tomorrow . . .
for help is coming your way.

Though your predicament,
may make you weak today
hold fast until tomorrow . . .
for strength is on its way.

Though your condition,
may be overwhelming today
hold fast until tomorrow . . .
for clarity will come your way.

Though today you may be weak,
tomorrow you’ll be strong
so just hold fast until . . .
God’s power comes along!

Hebrews 10:23

“Let us hold fast the profession
of our faith without wavering;
(for he is faithful that promised;)”
