God’s Gift of Jesus

*Pastor’s Note: Here’s another poem from one of my favorite Christian poets. On keeping with the theme of Christmas and the Birth of Christ Jesus, I offer you this poetry from Sister Deborah Ann Belka from her website, CHRISTian Poetry – By Deborah Ann. Please visit her site and be blessed, and remember to pray for her ministry (service) as part of the Body of Christ.

God's gift of Jesus - dab

A Child, a Babe,
today is born
the Son of Man
Salvation’s horn.

Our Mighty God,
the Sacrificial Lamb
fulfills the Word
of the great I AM.

A Carpenter, a King,
brings Good Cheer . . .
of His Kingdom
soon coming here.

Our Counselor, Our Rock,
our Father Everlasting
long ago Wise Men
were heard forecasting.

A Child is born,
God’s gift to you and I
for the Morning Star
has risen in the sky!

~~~~~~~~
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government
shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be
called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
