*Pastor’s Note: Feel free to pray this prayer individually and personally. The Lord has promised that if we ask for wisdom, He will give it to us generously and without criticizing us. He truly loves us as His children that much!
Heavenly Father, thank You always for Your guidance and for hearing and answering.
I long to be in Your Holy presence, Oh Lord. Sit right beside me as I learn. Bring understanding to my mind as Your teachings are revealed to me. Grant me the understanding and deeper knowledge of You and Your word. As I open my Bible to read the scriptures give me wisdom and discernment. Help me to understand You better as Lord and Master, and the way in which You lived Your life through Jesus Christ, so that I can follow in Your precious footsteps.
I can only focus on the present and the past, but only You know the future. So plan my path for me and help me to see clearly and to make the best decision for not only myself but for family and everyone around me that I have some influence on.
Bless me with divine knowledge so that I could continue to help others. Help me to learn how to be more understanding, kind, patient and compassionate towards my brothers and sisters just as You were when You walked the earth and came to save us.
Lord, I’m here today with open hands and an open heart, ready to depend on You to help me through the day and all it will bring my way. Help me be like so many of Your obedient Prophets, help me come to You for guidance, strength, provision and protection. As I face tough choices and hard situations, help me remember that I am loved by You, help me remember that I am Your child and Your representative to the world around me. Help me live today in a way that brings honor to Your Holy Name.
Lord, thank You for the people You have divinely placed in my life who speak holy truth, love and words of wisdom. Give me a heart of discernment to know when You are using someone to speak instruction into my heart and my circumstances, and give me the strength and courage to follow through with that advice, even when it’s hard. Fill me with peace in knowing that even if I take a wrong turn, Your purpose will prevail.
Heavenly Father, just as Your servant Solomon asked for wisdom and understanding, Lord so do I sincerely long for that gift from You. Help me to be Your vessel used by You in the service of others. In this I sincerely and humbly ask, in the Precious, and Holy Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen and AMEN!
