A Christmas Prayer

Oh Holy and Heavenly Father, we come to you in the precious name of the Gift you sent us, Jesus Christ;

During this season Lord, with so much going on in the world and our nation, we ask that you remind us, even if time and time again, that You ARE sovereign, that You ARE still in control no matter what circumstances seem to appear. You ARE still sitting on Your throne, majestic and exalted and we continue to glorify You because You ARE You!

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that You sent Your Son that we might renew that intimate relationship with You that was once lost to rebellion and disobedience. Help us to remember that the closer we draw to Your Son, Christ Jesus, the closer we draw to You and the better we get to know You in the ways that You want to be known.

Heavenly and Holy Father, remind us that Your Holy Spirit who dwells within each of us who has accepted Your most precious Gift is the power to embrace You boldly before Your throne as Your Living Word promises that we MAY approach You there. Help us to keep our spiritual ears open so that we may continue to hear that “still small voice” of the Holy Spirit through the surrounding noise the world loves during this season. Help us to keep our spiritual eyes open so that despite all the bling and superficiality that floods our senses we can still see the leading and direction of the Holy Spirit and that any opportunity that presents itself in which we can use the gifts that You have bestowed to us will not be missed due to lack of focus on You!

Dearest and most precious Lord, more than anything, help us, each one of us individually to be the reflection of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords that grew up from that precious little Babe once delivered as a Gift to the world in that long ago manger. Allow others to see You in us and not the “diamonds in the ruff” that we still are during the process of Your molding and sculpting us into the likeness of Your Son. Let us, we sincerely and humbly pray demonstrate Your unconditional love to each and every person that we come into contact with.

Dearest Father in Heaven, help us to reflect the TRUE meaning of this wonderful Season to all our loved ones, near and afar and to our neighbor, whomever they may be. We ask these things sincerely in the Name of Your Gift to us, Your Son, Jesus Christ! Amen and AMEN!

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” – Matthew 7:11.

“Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.” – John 14:13-14.
