Let’s Walk Each Other Home . . .

We are children of our FATHER, children of the light,
once so lost and broken, alone in darkest night.

Separated from HIM by the sin which weighed us down,
lost without direction and needing to be found.

HE sent HIS WORD down to us, because of love HE died,
the LAMB of GOD would suffer and would be crucified.

They beat HIM then they nailed HIM, to that cross so cold and grey,
the FATHER, though HE loved HIM, had to turn away.

Buried in a borrowed tomb, for three days HIS body lay,
HE rose to life and made us right that resurrection day.

When we believed HE did it to save us from our sin,
we become HIS children and new life would begin.

We became a family, each one called by name,
now no longer in the darkness for we are not the same.

HE who began a good work in us, will complete it till the end,
the Author of salvation who also calls us friends.

We are more than family no longer left to roam,
for now we have direction as we walk each other home.

HE saved us for HE loved us, so much that HE gave,
HE made a way to heaven for HE became, “The ONLY WAY.”

Now sitting with HIS FATHER, on HIS throne for us HE prays,
waiting for that moment, that very special day.

HE will return, HE promised, now we are not alone,
we are family here on earth walking each other home.
