Lord, hear our prayer:

Glorious and wonderful Lord, we enjoy coming together to sing our hymns and songs, to say our prayers and to hear your word in the Bible. We do this so that we may put you at the center of everything. Father, it is not easy to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. Each day we are tempted to put our possessions and our ambitions, our plans, our dreams, ourselves before Jesus. We praise you for Jesus and for his love for each and every one of us. We thank you that he always puts us at the very center of his care and he is always seeking the very best for us. For life more abundantly, we give you thanks and praise in his name.

Amen.
