Lord, hear our prayer:

Father, our Lord and God, we thank you for those who spend their days looking not at their own needs but at those of their neighbor; for those who are so busy caring for those less fortunate than themselves that they seem to have no time to be greedy, selfish or proud. We thank you that in Christ we have the true reflection of your nature; that through the Holy Spirit we have received an experience of your life-transforming grace. May what we say and do, what we are and what we become, give you praise and glory and declare your love to those whose lives are hurting and whose hearts long to know your love. We ask this in the name of Christ our Lord.

Amen.
