Lord, hear our prayer:

Father, we praise you that though we are very different people, with different backgrounds, different hopes and different fears, your love and your Spirit make us one. We thank you for every member and every person’s contribution to the life, worship, mission and ministry of your church; for the assurance that our life together now is simply a small sample of the joy and peace we shall share together in Christ for all eternity. We thank you for the Spirit of Christ in who’s name we pray.

Amen.
