Lord, hear our prayer:

Father, we praise you for coming in Jesus. We praise you for his zeal for your house – his determination that it should be open for all people to find you, know you, love you and praise you there. We praise you for his utter determination to demonstrate your perfect love – no matter how great the cost; for his conviction that not even death could hinder the fulfilment of your great purposes in him for the salvation of the world.

Amen.
