The Weaver

*Pastor’s Note: I’m always looking for Christian, inspirational poetry and I do have my favorite poets, but here’s one I found that the author is unknown, but if you would like to check out the site where I found it, it’s at: Poem4Today. They have a lot to look through. As always, be blessed!

weaver poem

THE WEAVER

My life is but a weaving,
Between the Lord and me.
I cannot choose the colors,
He worketh steadily.

Oft times He weaveth sorrow,
And I in foolish pride,
Forget he sees the upper,
And I, the underside.

The dark threads are as needful,
In the weaver’s skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

Not ’til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly.
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reasons why.

About Roland Ledoux

Ordained minister (thus a servant). Called to encourage and inspire one another by teaching His Word, and through intercessory prayer for others, praying for those in need as well as the lost. I and my wife of 50+ years live in Delta, Colorado where the Lord has chosen to plant us in a beautiful church home.
