According to Guinness World Records, the Bible is still the world’s most distributed book. It has been translated into more than 1,659 languages. And between 1815 and 1975, some 2.5 billion Bibles were printed, of which 1.5 billion were handled by Bible societies.

In the year 1978, the United Bible Societies distributed 9.3 million complete Bibles in 150 countries.
