    As a board member of the Christian school my children attended, I always encouraged the teaching of apologetics. Some parents didn’t want the teaching of other world views, using the argument that a good bank teller could spot a counterfeit from knowing the real thing, but eventually the students did take comparative religion. My youngest daughter was able to explain the difference between post-modernism, secular humanism, New Age, etc. and debunk each one. (She knew more than I did by the time she was a senior.) Our children need to know these things, especially before heading off for college!
