He Has Borne Our Griefs and Carried Our Sorrows…

*Pastor’s Note: God’s perspective is the only one that counts and our Creator and Heavenly Father found us wanting. Yet out of love for us, He sent His Son to demonstrate His unfailing love for us. I finished reading through Isaiah again a few weeks ago and found Sister Pat’s article. It is well worth the read AND the meditation.

I believe in physical healing, according to God’s will and plan and no, I don’t believe it is His will in ALL circumstances. I’m sorry to my Charismatic and Pentecostal Brothers and Sisters who do if this offends you. I do believe in miracles, but illness is a part of character building as well as growing in faith and I am so tired of too many abusing and misusing the prophecy found here in Isaiah. Sister Pat brings it right to the place where it is most important and has the greatest impact on our lives, in the ETERNAL scheme of things!

This is why I harp over and over again about taking the WHOLE counsel of God’s Word and not just parts that fit OUR theories and wants. If your interpretation of the Word doesn’t match up with your theory, it is your interpretation that is wrong and you don’t change the Word to suit you. You change yourself to suit the Word.

Jesus came to give us life more abundantly, yes in the natural, but most importantly in the Father’s Spiritual Heavenly Kingdom. Life truly begins there.

I hope you will be blessed by this article as much as I was. She wrote this before our celebration of the Resurrection, but so soon after those festivities this is so very timely. Please stop by her website and check out her other offerings, you will NOT be disappointed!

God Bless!

Beholding Him Ministries

But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed.Isaiah 53:5

Glory, Glory, Glory to the True and Living God and Jesus, His Son, the Savior of the world!

4 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:4 -6 (ESV)

There are two perspectives in this world: God’s and everybody else’s...and it is amazing how blind man…
