Come Home To Me Again

For the past 4 posts of Jeremiah, I had left the Prologue off that I was using. Yet, looking back at the posts AND some comments left on Facebook, it is obvious that some are not looking at these prophetic words in light of today. So with that in mind, I am using the Prologue again, just as an introduction to the Jeremiah verses. Thanks for your understanding AND be blessed in the Lord!

Jeremiah has been called to warn the people of Israel. When you read Jeremiah, if you substitute the United States for Israel, you will realize that the Book of Jeremiah is not just historical, but extremely and divinely prophetic. Jeremiah, except for certain verses is rarely taught on today and yet, with the condition of the United States as a Nation, we NEED, we MUST take the words of Jeremiah to heart!

Here we see the plea directly from the heart of a Loving and Merciful Lord that is calling out to those who claim Him as Father to come back into a relationship with Him. All He asks is that they acknowledge their sinful ways and He’s ready to be a Father to them again. Also look at the implication when He states He will give them shepherds after HIS own heart. Like today, many congregations have gathered under shepherds that will tell them what they want to hear. So it was back then, and so it is today.
