You Cannot Hide Your Sins

Jeremiah has been called to warn the people of Israel. When you read Jeremiah, if you substitute the United States for Israel, you will realize that the Book of Jeremiah is not just historical, but extremely and divinely prophetic. Jeremiah, except for certain verses is rarely taught on today and yet, with the state of the United States as a Nation, we NEED, we MUST take the words of Jeremiah to heart!

It is said AND it has been and continues to be prayed, “Lord, bring to light all those deeds done in the dark!” We see that God is ALWAYS faithful to His Word and to His promises of answers. It doesn’t take long for the truth of any situation to be brought into the light. The only thing barring a person’s ability to see the truth is whether they wish to look upon the truth with open eyes. Many, sadly, would like to be as the proverbial ostrich who buries his head in the sand. Today, as God’s children, His Church, we just can’t do that, for there is a world that needs those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear and those willing to speak the Words of the Lord boldly and in truth.

Just as Jeremiah spoke, and known as the “weeping prophet” because of the pain and sorrow it brought to have to bring the words of God’s judgement upon a nation that he so dearly loved. Yet, then, as today, sin cannot be covered up or hidden for long, for when the saints are praying for light to shine in the darkness, the corrupt, the deceit and the wickedness WILL be revealed. Sin just does not stay hidden for long. America, take notice, we either repent as a nation, or perish as one. God’s unchanging Word stands the test of all time.
