The Book of The Revelation To John is not always an easy book to read. It is filled with spiritual symbolism as well as natural and because of that there tends to be a lot of controversy over many of it’s meanings. Christians who are apt to read the Bible as a whole though find comfort and assurance in the prophetic words given to John even though the apocalyptic passages are definitely full of dire warnings.
There is a lot to be gleaned from its pages and the fact that it points to the Kingdom of God under the Headship of Christ Jesus should give true Christians every where an excitement at the anticipation that in our day and age we are so much closer to the culmination of our earthly history.
The whole Bible points to God Almighty as our Heavenly Father and His desire that His creation love and worship Him for Who He is as the Father of all creation. The Book of Revelation culminates in the teachings of Jesus Christ pointing to the Oneness of the Father with Him and ultimately with His children in His everlasting and eternal Kingdom!
With that in mind, I have found joy in a group that I remember in my youth and one that eventually led me to some of Calvary Chapel’s teaching under Pastor Chuck Smith as well as my own Associate Pastorate in Arizona.
Over the next few weeks, I would like to bless others with the parts of the Daniel Amos remix featuring Pastor Chuck Smith’s narration and I pray that you be as blessed as I was and have been again.
One Scripture I want you to remember as you listen to not just the music but the narration:
“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” – Revelation 1:3.
